Student and Parent reponsibility

Student Responsibilities

  1. To uphold the high standards, we ask that the Shiksha students arrive to classes at least five minutes before the class starts so that teacher can begin the class on time. 
  2. For educational continuity and knowledge, students are expected to attend all scheduled classes.   
  3. To complete homework assignments and be prepared for the upcoming classes with the appropriate books and school materials. 
  4. All children are expected to be respectful of other students, people and property.
  5. Students are expected to wear attire that is considered appropriate for being at a temple or attending a religious ceremony.
  6. Bring your own reusable water bottle to support Shiksha going Green efforts.
  7. Occasionally, a student will have difficulties adjusting to the school environment and a parent-teacher conference may be needed.  If any problem continues, the student may be asked to leave the class.

Parent Responsibilities

  1. To uphold High standards of Sanatan Dharma, students are expected to be at Shiksha and seated in class five minutes before class starts.  Each class lasts for one hour.  Timely drop-off and pick-up is expected. 
  2. While your child is in class, help volunteer in Shiksha activities & events, your are welcome to enjoy the grounds, go to temple and have lunch Prasad.
  3. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child is prepared for class (having homework done, getting materials for next class ready, etc.).
  4. In order to increase your child’s achievement in class, healthy school-parent compact is necessary: Sign up for a team, attend school events, picnics, parent meetings and parent/teacher sessions.
  5. Parents who are interested in observing their child's class, please contact the teacher to arrange a mutually agreeable time and date.                                                                                                                         
  6.  Any concern related to classroom or learning at Shiksha should be discussed with the teacher first and thereafter, submitted to Shiksha Principal for consideration.
  7. If your child is going to miss a class, please notify the teacher as soon as you can.   
  8. Usage of cell phones, gaming consoles and other such distracting devices not aiding in instruction are not permitted in the classrooms during instructions. If a student is caught using cell phones, teachers will collect and leave it in the office for the parent to pick up.
  9. Parents are expected to be respectful of other parents, people, property and events at Radha Madhav Dham.
  10. Students are expected to wear attire that is considered appropriate for being at a temple or attending a religious ceremony.   
  11. Please let the teachers know of anything in your child’s life which may affect his/her school experience, e.g. death of a relative, illness, new sibling, death of a pet, etc.
