About Us

A Place to Grow— in Values, Language, and Music

In today’s fast-paced world, while our children excel academically, true success lies in building character, learning the timeless Hindu values we cherish – kindness, respect, perseverance, compassion, a sense of responsibility, and more.

Shiksha is more than a Sunday school—it’s a cultural bridge for young Indian-American children to learn who they are, where they come from, and the beautiful values that shape their identity. our goal is to help kids build a strong inner foundation while making friends and memories that last.

By learning about Hindu values, mastering the Hindi language, and exploring the joy of Indian music, children will grow in ways that shape them into model global citizens — confident, respectful, and deeply connected to their cultural roots.

Our program is run by the devoted volunteer community of Radha Madhav Dham, one of the largest Hindu temples in the U.S., with a deep commitment to preserving and sharing the richness of Indian culture.

Our Mission

To nurture confident, culturally connected children through joyful education in Hindu values, Hindi language, and Indian music.

Our Vision

To create a vibrant community where Indian families in South Austin can come together to raise spiritually grounded children who are proud of their roots.

Our Unique Approach to Teaching

Our program goes beyond traditional textbooks. At Shiksha, children learn by doing – through engaging stories, interactive activities, fun games, and collaborative practical projects. We believe this hands-on approach sparks curiosity and creates a love for learning. By exploring Hindu values, mastering the Hindi language, and embracing the joy of Indian music, your child will grow into a confident, respectful, and culturally connected global citizen.

Kids will also develop their confidence by demonstrating what they have learnt on the temple stage in front of parents and strangers.

This will not only help them recap and remember what they have been taught but also help them articulate what they have learnt in front of adults. building confidence, leadership and stage presence skills

A Collaborative Journey

We believe parents play a crucial role in this journey. We are committed to working together with all parents to create an environment where children learn to appreciate the importance of Values that help them thrive anywhere in the world with strong moral foundations. Let’s work together to plant the seeds of Hindu Value and watch them blossom in the hearts of our children as they grow up.
